Happy Hands Education Center (Jan Pride and Darla Otto) of Broken Arrow joined the Fund this week. This Center is both nationally unique – and nationally recognized – for its expertise and dedication to educating hearing impaired children ages 0-6. It is the only school of its kind in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
Happy Hands is a center for families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing and children who have other communication disorders. Their purpose is to empower these special children with confidence, education, life skills and the abilities necessary to achieve all of their dreams. Happy Hands strives to provide opportunities to help these children and their families flourish in every area of their lives. Happy Hands has active educational and training agreements with the University of Tulsa, Northeastern (Oklahoma) State University, The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Brown Mackie College, Tulsa Community College & Tulsa Technology Center – and a service agreement with Sooner Start, an Oklahoma Department of Health Agency.
