OKLAHOMA CITY (Dec. 21, 2017) – A Stillwater family has received the Opportunity Scholarship Fund’s (OSF) 1,000th scholarship in 2017. Lily Clark, age 5, was awarded the $2,500 scholarship to attend Stillwater Christian School
“Lily loves and is thriving at Stillwater Christian School,” said Bethany Clark, mother of the scholarship recipient. “We just had another baby and I’m staying home, which means we are down to a single income. We are sincerely grateful for OSF and their donors.”
Hundreds of lower-income families are able to afford to send their children to a private school of their choice thanks to OSF scholarships.
OSF, a scholarship granting organization, helps administer tax-credit scholarships for 59 member schools across Oklahoma.
Scholarships awarded for 2017 total over $3 million. Scholarships are funded through donations from individuals and businesses. Donors to OSF receive generous tax benefits, including state income tax credits and charitable contribution deductions.
